What makes handwoven things special? There is a unique beauty to handmade, handwoven items. Handwoven cloth has a wonderful combination of texture and pattern. I start with quality yarn or thread, most of which is made of natural fibers like cotton, linen, wool, silk, rayon, or tencel. Many of the patterns I use have been around for centuries; mix that with modern yarn and you have heirloom quality pieces for today's world.
Check out my slide show of the steps it takes to warp a loom.

5 out of 5 starsThese are fantastic dish towels. They are East to wash and don’t leave lint all over the dishes. I now have a drawer full of them and some are five years old and in great shape

5 out of 5 starsThis was my second order with Warped and Wonderful. The dish towels are beautiful, and so are the colors. Denim and mustard are my favorites thus far--they contrast each other nicely. The owner is such a delight to work with, too. Could not be happier.

Weaving is not a lost art, it is just more obscure than it used to be.

I have been weaving since 1997. I love using patterns published in the 1700's. Who knows how long weavers have been using them before they were printed in books.
